Choosing a structure
Most Jaipur founders choose between a private limited company, an LLP, a one person company and a partnership or proprietorship. A private limited company suits you if you plan to hire, raise outside money or sign larger contracts. An LLP is lighter on compliance and common for professional and family businesses. A one person company lets a single founder operate with limited liability. A proprietorship is quickest to start but offers no separation between you and the business.
Registered office in Jaipur
Every company needs a registered office address, and for a Rajasthan company it must be in the state. For a rented office we normally need the rent agreement, the owner's no-objection letter, and a recent electricity or property tax bill for the premises. For an owned property, the ownership document and a utility bill are used. A home address can work for many service businesses, subject to the landlord's consent and local rules.
The filing process
The steps are the same across India but are filed with the Registrar of Companies for the state of the registered office. We reserve the name, prepare the incorporation form and the constitutional documents, collect digital signatures for the directors, and track the application until the certificate of incorporation is issued. After that come the PAN and TAN of the company, a bank account, and the first board meeting.
After incorporation
A new company has several follow-up tasks: opening the current account, depositing the subscribed capital, appointing the auditor, GST registration if your turnover or business model requires it, and registration under labour laws once you hire. Depending on your activity and number of employees, a state shops and establishments registration may also apply. Startups can also look at state programmes such as iStart Rajasthan, subject to their own eligibility conditions.

Frequently asked questions
How long does company registration take in Jaipur?
With complete documents it usually takes about two to three weeks from name approval to the certificate of incorporation. Delays are most often caused by incomplete address proof or name objections.
Can I use my home address as the registered office?
In many cases yes, for service and consulting businesses, with the owner's consent and a utility bill. We check the premises documents before filing.
Do all directors need to be in Jaipur?
No. Directors can live anywhere in India, and documents are verified digitally. At least one director of a company must be resident in India.
Is there a minimum capital for a private limited company?
No minimum paid-up capital is prescribed by law, although the amount you choose should match your business needs and any bank or client requirements.
Which services should I plan for after registration?
Most new companies need a bank account, GST registration where applicable, bookkeeping, TDS compliance if they pay salaries or professionals, and annual ROC filings.
